Publications Handled: A Random Sampling

Some of the publications featured here were designed by newswatch.in under its earlier avatar of Inscriptions. Others were done by newswatch.in Editor Subir Ghosh in his individual capacity while being associated with the respective organisations.

Civil Society Voices

Civil Society Voices is the quarterly magazine of the New Delhi-based Voluntary Action Network India (VANI). The till-then dour-looking newsletter was restructured and relaunched as a decent-looking magazine by Inscriptions in March 2005. VANI, being a not-for-profit organisation, had severe budgetary constraints which forced its management to opt in for an inexpensive two-colour (black-and-white) format. The entire 48-page issues at that time were edited and designed by Inscriptions. The magazine is now brought out by VANI staffers themselves. We are not associated with them at the moment, and take no responsibility for what the magazine reads and looks like now. You can browse through one of the earlier issues of Civil Society Voices by downloading a PDF file.

Wildlife Trust of India Annual Report

The 2001-02 Annual Report of the New Delhi-headquartered Wildlife Trust of India (WTI) was edited and designed by Subir Ghosh while he was working as Editor with the organisation. You can browse through the report by downloading a zipped PDF file. A number of other publications of the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) had to be redesigned/customised by Subir for the Indian context for WTI. PDF files of those files, unfortunately, are not available for display.
